Waste Management Collection Changes

Effective January 1, 2023, Waste Management will be making a change to their collection days.  This change  effects the service day for both residential trash and curbside recycling collection.  This change will improve efficiency, and reduce the truck traffic within Montgomery.

All residential trash will be consolidated onto one day which will be on Wednesdays going forward.                 2023 Calendar   GOLD  - EVEN / GREEN - ODD

Recycling Service on the South side on all the Wednesdays of the green weeks, Jan 4th and 18th, Feb 1st and 15th, March 1st, 16th and 30th and so on. 

North Side will be picked up on Gold weeks, so Jan 11th, 25th, Feb 8th, 22nd, March 8th, 22nd and so on. 

Holidays will push the day back to Thursday.

Curbside recycling collection will move from the current Even Fridays to Even Wednesdays on the North Side and to Odd Wednesdays on the South Side.  For clarity see the map attached. 

Again, this change will take place as of January 1, 2023, at which time the service day for residential trash will be on Wednesdays and recycling will be serviced on Even Wednesdays and Odd Wednesdays within the established boundaries.  For clarification, the first collection day is January 4, 2023 for recycling pick up on the south side of Montgomery as an odd Wednesday.  Please see the attached calendar and map for all pickup dates.

Odd weeks are green, Even weeks are Gold, it doesn’t have anything to do with the actual date or 1^st week of the month etc. as it switches every quarter from green week being the 1^st week then April through May Gold week happens to come first.
