Economic Development Authority Board
The Economic Development Authority (EDA) Board provides business assistance and referral services; assists existing businesses and industry within the community; and promotes the continued growth and development of the city of Montgomery. The EDA works to add job opportunities for the residents of Montgomery and the surrounding area and increase the commercial and industrial tax base. The EDA has a variety of tools at its disposal to promote this development through loans, grants and other financial resources as granted by the City Council.

Information About Members
The Economic Development Authority is a seven (7) member board comprised of five (5) regular members who are recommended by the Mayor and approved by the City Council and two (2) members of the City Council who are selected by Mayor and approved by the City Council. Individuals interested in economic development including both commercial and industrial uses should consider serving on the board. Each member serves a six (6) year term. There is no term limit. Members do not receive monetary compensation.
The Authority also has one (1) ex officio member. The City Administrator currently fulfills this role.
