Public Works Advisory Board

Overview

The duties and responsibilities of the Montgomery Public Works Advisory Board are to review and make recommendations to the City Council on all matters concerning the setting of water and sewer rates; delivery of utility service; utility and public works departments' operations; researching and recommending capital purchases; reviewing or planning streets, alleys, and infrastructure improvements; and/or similar duties.

Information About Members

The Public Works Advisory board is comprised of five (5) regular members who are recommended by the Mayor and approved by the City Council and two (2) ex offico members. Each member serves a three (3) year term. There is no term limit. Members do not receive monetary compensation.

The ex offico members include one (1) member of the City Council who is selected by Mayor and approved by the City Council and the City Administrator. Council Member Brad "Butch" Kubes, and the City Administrator Brian Heck currently fulfilled these roles.
